Project of the last 6 months

I wanted to share these projects with all of you for along time, but you probably notice my updates have not been to often lately. As I uploaded these pictures I realized that a lot of my ideas come for family and friends, so I wanted to pass on the ideas. Let me know if you make some of your own, or need more info. on how too.

I have made two other laundry bags before this one and I decided to add a cute flower to the front. I learned how to make these flowers from my sister.



This was my forth attempt at a laundry bag. After looking a my cousins blog and she had made a diaper storage bag that had pieces on the side, I decided to try it. It required some thinking.



I made this balance for my bedroom/office with martial that matches my bedspread. I got this idea from a friend. Hers were 8" or 10" squares mine are 6" so I ended up making more. Also she put a tab in the middle instead of two on each square.



My sister helped me make this skirt from a "Pink Fig" pattern. It was supposed to have strips of material going down in the middle section, but with the big floral print I wanted it be able to see more of the flowers.


These topiarys I made for a "Bridal Tea Party" I used curly willow for the stems and spikes that I got from my mother in laws bush! The Brides mother gave me a picture similar to these for the idea.



This is an apron patter I adapted into curtains for Adele's room.


My friend bought these flowers and I arranged this one and three others for her.

These are some things I made 6 months ago and some I did recently. I'm trying to get some Christmas thing done before the baby is born, but I can't put any of them on the blog before Christmas.

July update

Tyler and Adele both learned to swim this year! Adele learned the "Monkey, Airplane, Solider", and started the free style. She loved jumping of the diving board and floating to the side (her swimming teacher was in the water with her the whole time). Tyler learned to free style and swam the length of the pool, and became good at diving for things at the bottom of the pool. He went of the diving board once with a lot of begging from his teacher. He did jump in several time from the side. It was so great to have making progress this year!

The kids wanted to go back to the Chesterfield town site. We went last year and I did not bring my camera, so this time I made sure I remembered. We went to houses we did not see last time or were newly restored.

Stopping at the "Old Log Store" is the kids favorite stop. They only sell things that you could by 100 years ago.



This is a "Dug Out" That Cam's relative is helping build. Most of the buildings are original on the town site. But a few are starting to be moved from locations to the town site.




This is an old potty seat. Tate thought it was a great little chair.





My good friend Heidi came to visit us with her family. The kids had a great time playing in the tree house and going to the river. They "skipped rocks", and walked on the rail road bridge. Thanks for stopping by.

Summer 2009 on Fast Forward

For the Williams reunion we went camping to a place only twenty minuets from home! It is owned by some people in our ward. It had a zip line, teeter toter, and these swings that were like a fairies wheel on its side(?)that was motorized with a wheel line engine. We decorated "fireworks" shirts with stamps we made our of noodles. Did a treasure hunt with GPS's. That night we had a great family home evening about listening to your parents which involved blindfolds and gold covered chocolate bars. We also had family pictures taken. It was nice to be with all of Cam's family.

We had a family reunion with my Dad's side of the family at Bear Lake. All of my siblings were there! It was great to see cousins that I had not seen since my Grandma's funeral. We are so close to Bear Lake, but rarely go there (it is strange how we will drive hundreds of miles to see something great and ignore the things around home).






Hail storm in June, Cam was in the shop and said the noise was unbearable. Tate and Adele had a good time eating the hail stones.

Afternoon Project

I got the August Family Fun magazine today, and saw this cute Monogram idea. So once Tate went down for a nap Adele helped me pick our fabric that would match her bedspread. I used a some thick wire that was around the house and bent to to form the "A". The fabric I cut into 1/2inch strips and tide or glued each end. It was fast and easy, and it looks so cute in her room!

3rd Update Post

Tyler got Baptized last Saturday. It was a very special day for all of us. It was great how much family support he received. I was grateful Cam was able to preform the baptism and the confirmation. We had lunch together at the church afterwords (it was raining outside so we did not use the pavilion). There were a lot of boy cousins there and only three girl cousins. I took a picture of the girls, but the picture did not turn out.






Adele had her Birthday the first of June. We did the same thing with the presents we did on Tyler's Birthday. (We hid the presents and marked the spot with the GPS. The the kids took turns using the GPS to find each hidden present) It had been rain that day on and off, but it worked out good because when Cam got home from work in was sunny. The kids found the present, unwrapped them, played, had cake and ice cream, and cleaned up before the rain started again. Adele had her friend Emily and her cousin Grey over for most of the day.

2nd of the updates

We trailed the cows to the range the end of May. I rode the first part until Carol had to go to work. Then I drove the pickup with the trailer (I needed a break by then anyway).
Adele rode the new kid horse "Sarley" she did pretty good. She had a hard time getting him to do what she wanted.
We have to cross the highway and the railroad tracks. The sheriff was there at the highway to stop traffic and there was long line of trucks waiting this year. Tate and Cam got one of them to blow is horn for them.

After sitting in the front and back of the pickup all day Tyler decided to get out and walk behind the cows. Cam convinced him to wiggle quite a few calves tails (just for fun). I started to ride another girls horse while she drove the pickup. When we were almost to the carrel. I looked back and saw Tyler riding Sorely with his second cousin behind him (they had meet that morning for the first time). I could not believe it Cam had been asking him all day if he wanted to ride and he would wrinkled his nose and say "no, I wish I could bring my four wheeler". He rode the rest of the time. The next morning at 4A.M. he was all ready to ride again. Cam said he was very talkative and excited. Adele, Tate and I went up later that morning. They were almost to the range when we got there, but Tate rode with Cam and Adele rode with Tyler.

It was our dog "Bud's" first time trailing the cows. I think he did a good job. Cam through him in the canal to get two calves out. It worked pretty well and Bud got cooled off.

"Ketchup" time

In April, May and June we had a lot going on.
That is not my excuse for not blogging it was starting to feel like a chore,
and something else I needed to do.
So here is a fast forward of the last month and a half.



Tyler and Cam share a Birthday. We hid Tyler's presents around the farm and had the kids(cousins) find the presents withe the G.P.S. It was pretty fun. We had to put the present out after the rain had stopped. It was pretty late when Cam came in from pipe and fixing a fence some bulls had torn down, but he did not miss the cake, and Tate had not opened Dad's present yet. Tate was pretty excited about the hammer!


For Christmas Cam wanted two Honda Trail 90s for $50. He got the one running at mutual one night with the priest and brought it home. He gave Tate a ride and Adele then the tire lost all of its air! Tyler had been waiting to go on four wheeling and motorcycle ride to the dry farm with Cam. He was pretty disappointed. Cam got the tire fixed and him an Tyler were going to go for another ride, but the Honda trail would not start. It has been fun when it has worked. I have not yet gotten my chance to drive it.


Adele and I made some hair bows, This was also in April!


Ok this was April. Adele had her dance performance. They did a ballet, a cheer, and jazz(?). She had a great time going to "dance class", and liked her dance costumes.



Adele learned to ride her friends bike when it was left here overnight, but since then she just wants to ride her training wheel bike! I have not yet figured out why.

Baptism

Tyler is turning eight on the 23rd of this month and is going to be baptized on the 6th of June! I'm really having a hard time thinking I'm old enough to have and eight year old!
(This invitation is intended for family unless you are a close friend who would like to come.) His baptism will be at 10:00 A.M. we will have lunch after. We would love to have you there. I hope it it good weather(cross your fingers, today is pretty rainy and cold).
